  We were delighted to see one of our former pupils come back to visit us with some great news. Niamh Boulton, who left in 2009, has been picked to play for England Under 16s handball team at a tournament in Sweden. Niamh was one of our sports stars when she was here and was the first winner of the sports personality of the year award for her efforts in football, rugby, swimming, athletics and probably a lot more! We are delighted to see her doing so well and hopefully she'll return to help coach some of our budding young sports stars next year.

  On Thursday 12th, we were served up a braziilliant Brazilian themed lunch by our cook Emma and her fantastic team. The children all appreciated the effort that went into this special meal and would like to say thank you for this lovely way to begin the World Cup.   We kicked off our World Cup activities in style by having a flag making afternoon. Groups of children from different classes met up to make the flags of the 32 countries participating in the World Cup. There was a lovely atmosphere in all classrooms and the results will look fantastic in the hall when the flags are displayed. Thanks to Miss Mears for organising. Some pictures below...
