Key Roles

The Designated Lead for safeguarding at Rushcroft School is Mrs Mason (Deputy Headteacher). The Assistant Designated Safeguarding Leads at Rushcroft are Mrs Kay (Executive Headteacher), Mr Coyle (Assistant Headteacher) and Mrs Taylor (Pastoral Lead and Safeguarding Governor).

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone's business. Everyone who comes into contact with our children and their families and carers has a role to play. At Rushcroft we have an extensive safeguarding team who work hard to ensure that the safety of our children remains a high priority. We have clear roles and responsibilities that we execute every day. We actively encourage concerns to be be raised so that they can be dealt with at the earliest opportunity. Our safeguarding policies can be read in the policy section by clicking this link....

We always ensure that we keep an eye local and national changes that could affect safeguarding procedures in school. The whole school community receives regular updates and a programme of training to ensure they are fully equipped to deal with all matters related to safeguarding. A list of the training undertaken is available on request.
