LO: To Investigate Paper Spinners

We will begin our topic next week. In the meantime, click on the link below and watch the video of the two girls making their spinners.

Once you have watched it, think of a fair test you could carry out to do with paper spinners.

You could:

Make spinners from different materials and see which one is the spinniest.
Make identical spinners and drops them from different heights to see what difference that makes to the spin.
Use the same materials and same height-drop but make spinners of different sizes and compare their spins.

The spinners are very simple to make but quite effective when you get it right and watch them spin.

If you feel particularly motivated, you could even experiment with different types of spinner designs, for example by adding extra cuts to your design.
