Our vision for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities is the same as for all pupils -  that they achieve well, are fully included in school life and lead happy and fulfilled lives. Across our federation, we are committed to identifying and removing barriers to learning, participation and wellbeing so that every pupil has the opportunity to thrive.

We recognise that a pupil does not need a formal diagnosis to receive support. Provision is based on each child's individual strengths and needs, and we aim to identify and respond to emerging needs at the earliest opportunity.

We follow a graduated approach of Assess, Plan, Do, Review. We work in partnership with pupils, parents and carers, and other professionals where appropriate, to identify needs, agree appropriate support, monitor progress and evaluate the impact of the provision in place.

All pupils have access to high-quality, inclusive teaching, with appropriate adaptations and targeted support provided where required. Pupils receiving SEN support are taught alongside their peers and are fully included in the life of the school.

We value a person-centred approach and recognise the important role that pupils and their families play in decisions about support. Provision is regularly reviewed and adapted so that it continues to meet individual needs and supports the best possible outcomes.

Our aim is to ensure that pupils with SEND have equitable access to the curriculum, enrichment opportunities and wider experiences, enabling them to participate fully in all aspects of school life.
