DT- Structures
Our DT learning recently has focused on structures. First we identified different structures- both free standing and attached. We then experimented with different materials to make structures. We quickly learned that some materials we're not strong enough to make a stable structure and had to adapt. We designed our own structures in the style of London houses in 1666.
History
We have loved our topic on The Great Fire of London. We transformed into bakers to understand how and when the fire started- we baked our own bread just like Thomas Farriner on Pudding Lane. We also explored reasons why the fire spread so quickly as well as the impacts of the fire and how it improved London.
