Materials
We have started our new Science topic of materials by going on an adventure all around our school to discover as many different materials as we could. We found lots of different materials and started to describe the properties. We are excited to start investigating more about materials!
We continued our learning and investigated how materials can change shape. We stretched, twisted, squashed and bent a range of different materials. We also conducted an investigation. Geraldine the giraffe, all the way from Africa doesn't like all the rain we get! We investigated the suitability of materials we could use to make an umbrella for Geraldine and her friends. We found out that paper would make a terrible umbrella because it is not waterproof. Our findings shown that plastic would be the most suitable as it is light and waterproof.
