Santa's New Sleigh
Our English learning recently has been extremely important. Santa's sleigh has broken so we needed to help him! We used our creativity to design our own brand new sleighs for Santa including lots of special features such as a foot warmer, a mini fridge with unlimited cookies and rocket boosters to help it go super speedy. We used our designs to help us to write letters persuading Santa to pick our sleigh. We used lots of descriptive vocabulary and a range of suffix. He knows our sleigh are the brightest, fastest and shiniest in the universe!
Goldilocks and The Three Bears
We had some clues left in our classroom to help us guess what our first text is this year. A small chair, a bowl of porridge and long, golden hair helped us to work out that our first class text is the traditional tale of Goldilocks and The Three Bears. We will be exploring the features of traditional tales and will be retelling the story. We are going to be focusing on our writing rules- including capital letters and full stops as well as exploring adjectives to describe the characters and setting.
Wanted Poster
Disaster struck in Redgraves last week! We came into school to see our classroom trashed- it was a huge mess! When we thought the morning couldn't be any worse we spotted that our prize box has been stolen! We are on a mission to help find the culprit and bring our prize box back to school safely. We used clues to work out that criminal is Goldilocks. We are going to be creating our very own wanted posters to help find her. We are using adjectives to describe and including lots of other features. If you see Goldilocks or our prize box, please contact a member of Redgraves as soon as possilbe.
