The School Council have been learning about Fairtrade and are planning to get Rushcroft involved in Fairtrade Fortnight which runs from Monday 26^th February until 9^th March 2018. 

As well as learning about Fairtrade in class, the councillors have selected some pocket money products from Fairtrade organisations for the children to buy.  The people who make these toys have all been paid a fair wage for their work.  These products, costing between 50p and £3.50, will be available for all children to buy at playtime on the following days unless our stock runs out:

Our school kitchen are also serving Fairtrade produce: jam, bananas, oranges, hot chocolate and tea at breakfast club during Fairtrade Fortnight from 8.30am.  This is another way we can support Fairtrade Producers.
