History and DT
Our topic this term has been the Great Fire of London. In our history learning we explored how the fire started and why it spread so quickly as well as the impact it had on the city of London. This linked to or DT learning where we was learning all about structures. We experimented with different materials we could use to build a freestanding structure. We researched what the houses looked like in 1666 before we designed and built our own Great Fire of London houses.
Food Glorious Food
In Art and DT we have learned lots about food! We explored the five different food groups and learned all about balanced and healthy meals. We also used our culinary skills to create a delicious, colourful fruit salad. We have been learning about the artist Arcimboldo who created his art using fruit and vegetables. We used this to make our very own portraits!
