P.E

In Year 1 our PE days are Wednesday and Friday.

The children will need a PE kit in school for their lessons which should be a white/red

t-shirt and black shorts.

Your child will need an outdoor kit as well - we suggest a sweatshirt and track pants for outdoor lessons.

Your children will also need trainers or pumps. 

Please make sure your child's kit is labelled with their name- as we cannot tell which kit belongs to which child otherwise.

Reading at Home

We will be changing your child's reading books on Mondays and Thursdays.

Please make sure your child brings their books on these days.

You should sign in your child's planner each time they have read. 

Please sign your child's planner at least 3 times each week to have their books changed.

Homework

Homework will be given out on a Thursday to be returned by the following Wednesday. 

Your child will also be encouraged to access Numbots.

Diaries

Diaries are expected in school every day. 

School Council

The school council sell toast every Tuesday and Thursday playtime. Toast is 20p and crackers are 5p.

School Uniform

Black/ grey school trousers, shorts or skirt.

White shirt/ blouse/ polo shirt.

Red jumper/ cardigan.

Plain black school shoes (no boots).

Plain white, grey, red, black socks (no patterns).

Optional

Red & white checked dress in the summer.

School fleece.

Jewellery and nail varnish are not allowed in school. Children may wear a watch and if they have pierced ears, they may wear small studs. Long hair must be tied up for safety reasons.
