For today's maths learning I would like your child to be able to explore the concepts of heavier and lighter by using spoons to add things into old socks to change their weight.
They could use sand, soil, rice - whatever you have at home. This activity is about having the freedom to experiment with changing the weight of something themselves.
What makes the sock lighter? How can they make the sock heavier?
Can they make 2 socks have the same weight? What could they do to make sure the socks weigh the same?
