Writing

The idea of instructions are to tell someone what to do and how to do it. So in order to have a great set of instructions, you need imperative verbs. Please read the information below all about imperative verbs.

I would like you to think of a sentence to go with these imperative verbs. Copy the verbs into your exercise book and write the sentence next to them.

  1. Pick
  2. Shut
  3. Close
  4. Open
  5. Push
  6. Pull
  7. Run
  8. Climb
  9. Walk
  10. Wash

Once you have finished, I would like you to edit and improve your sentences by adding an adverb.

Handwriting

In your packs, you have a plastic wallet labelled 'handwriting'. I would like you to write out the words and sentences on unit 13, page 14 in your exercise books. I have attached a photograph below in case the sheet is missing from your pack. Look carefully at the letter formation and at which letters are joined.
