Today's English learning is all about...
Please remind your child there are two ways of writing each letter in the alphabet - lower case and upper case. Upper case letters are CAPITAL LETTERS.
Can your child remember when we use a capital letter? (at the beginning of every sentence and for names and places). For example
Bobby was very hot.
He was on holiday in Egypt.
Can your child rewrite the following sentence with capital letters in the correct place?
the boy was called tom.
Do we ever need a capital letter in the middle of a word?
* Letter hunt *
Perhaps you would like to write out the different letters in both cases on separate pieces of paper and arrange a letter hunt around the house or garden. Can they find the letters and match the correct ones together?
