Today I would like you to imagine you are Madeline's friend. Imagine what Madeline is like as a character and use information from the text. Is she shy? Is she mean? Where does she live? Who looks after her?
Using your amazing knowledge of the text, I would like you to write Madeline a postcard to tell her all the different things you've been getting up to these last few weeks.
Things you could include in your postcard:
- Reminisce about the fun things you've done together, like when Madeline found a mouse or when she scared Miss Clavel.
- Inform Madeline of the different things you have been doing.
- Ask some questions (using a question mark) about her life now she's home.
- Discuss the things you cannot wait to do together when the lockdown is lifted.
Remember to use your neatest handwriting and if you want to email in any of your writing, I'd love to see it.
Your spellings this week are:
Use Lego to build the words or use Lego to print the words into play-doh. I’m not sure what resources you may have at home. You could even build the words out of natural resources.
In your packs, you have a plastic wallet labelled 'handwriting'. I would like you to write out the words and sentences on unit 11, page 12 in your exercise books. I have attached a photograph below in case the sheet is missing from your pack. Look carefully at the letter formation and at which letters are joined.
