ECO Council

We are the Eco Councillors, we work hard to improve our school environment. Mrs Naylor helps us to think of new ideas and projects, we share our ideas with the rest of the children in the school and sometimes we launch competitions.

Our achievements 2018-2019
*We arranged a bottle top collection to encourage children to recycle rather than throw bottle tops away.

*We used our bottle tops to make a display in the school hall.

*We celebrated an eco-council assembly to raise awareness of recycling

*Before and After School  club children  worked with our councillors to " plant up" several recycled car tyres with flowers and shrubs around the school pathways. This improved our school environment.

Our priorities for 2019-2020

*We are planning  to recycle plastic infant milk bottles to continue our awareness of  safe disposal of  recyclable plastic

* We plan to have half-termly litter picking meetings

*We are planning a "Walk to School Week" in the summer term.

Watch this space to see what other ideas your eco- councillors can think of!
