Message from Mrs Firth - Week beginning 13.07.20
Well what can I say Christies? We have finally reached the end of your reception year at Rushcroft school! What a funny old year it has been!
Even though the year may not have gone to plan and my time in class with you all has been cut much shorter than I would have liked, I wanted to say a massive thank you for all your hard work this year. You have been a wonderful class and I have very much enjoyed being your teacher. I will miss you all.
As part of this week's home learning I have asked you to think about your favourite part of your reception year. Try to cast your mind back to all the wonderful things we did in school before lockdown started...can you remember your best bit?
It's tricky to choose a favourite but here are some of the things I loved doing....
our video call with Santa from the North Pole
our elf workshop wrapping gifts and posting letters
making a rattle drum and performing our Chinese New Year song
watching the chicks hatch when they visited school
dressing up for world book day... and so many more!
It's time for me to say goodbye for now - I'm sorry I can't do it in person. Have the most wonderful summer break - you have worked so hard this year and I know you will all be amazing in year 1 - such an exciting adventure for you all! I'm going to be busy carrying on growing my new baby boy in my tummy ready for his arrival later in the year - I'll be sure to pop in school to introduce you next year sometime.
Take care - stay safe - keep smiling!
From Mrs Firth :)
