Here is the show and tell timetable for this half term.
This week Year 2 have been revising addition, 2D shapes and position in Maths and in English we have introduced a beating the baddie story. We have also learnt about how there are lots of different types of families in the world. Year 2 started the lesson by thinking about the question 'What is a family?'. We then read the story ‘The Great Big Book of Families’, which made us think a little deeper about our answers! Once, families were said to be a father, mother, boy, girl, cat and dog living in a house with a garden. But as times have changed, families have changed too, and now there are almost as many kinds of families as colours of the rainbow - from a mum and dad or single parent to two mums or two dads, from a mixed-race family to children with different mums and dads, to families with a disabled member. Year 2 then attempted to draw as many different types of families as they could think of! How many can you think of? What is your family like?
