On Tuesday we had our Sports Day! The weather was kind and we all had a fantastic time. Thank you to parents/guardians for coming to watch.
This week in Maths we have looked at measuring in meters, sorting data using Venn and Carroll diagrams and we ended the week by looking at 3D shapes and their nets. In English we have been writing a set of instructions to help us with our dinosaur problem. We think we have come up with a solution!
Year 2 met the most chilled out rabbit today! His name was DJ and we learnt an awful lot about rabbits and how to look after them, thanks to a fantastic Show and Tell!
Thank you to Professor Aurora for a fantastic Science workshop. We started the session by trying to keep bubbles in the air by blowing them but then Professor Aurora filled the bubbles with smoke to make them harder to keep airborne. After that, she showed us how air can move using some really cool devices. To end our session, we all got to make slime using PVA glue, food colouring and Borax. It was surprisingly bouncy!
‘There’s no place like home, there’s no place like home…’ On Thursday we were lucky enough to watch The Wizard of Oz pantomime! It was a fantastic performance and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
