Stick insect habitat

Miss Farrell popped in to see us with some news this week- she is the proud bringer of 35 stick insects which are slowly taking over her house! So we welcomed them back to Year 2- we haven't seen them since they were eggs! So we set about making a micro-habitat for them based on our internet research- we found out that the habitat needs to be moist, leafy and warm with no  direct sunlight which would de-hydrate the habitat at weekends or over the Easter holidays. Take a look at the children building the habitat- all we had to do was "borrow" Mr Kearney's drill to ensure breathing holes would allow oxygen in but no escapees...
