Pirate madness spread throughout Rushcroft on Thursday! Year 3 and 4 enjoyed meeting the authors of Sam Silver the Undercover Pirate. See photos below. We also put together a play script based on the Sam Silver story and Miss Mears was very impressed with our use of expression when acting.
Year 5 also went pirate mad...but thankfully nobody walked the plank (however Jacob developed a peg leg!). We created excellent wanted posters for some terrible pirates! We have also been writing persuasive letters this week. Miss Groome is impressed with our paragraphing and persuasive openers. In Maths we have been investigating prime and square numbers, looking at their factors and patterns. Check out our photos below for pirate fun.
Well done to everyone who tried their best in the reading assessment we did. It will definitely help you in a couple of months time if you put the effort in now. We enjoyed our pirate day and some of use even dressed up for the day. Good luck to everyone in y6 playing netball on Wednesday or taking part in cross country on Saturday.
