We've had such a busy week, learning about animal adaptations in science, practising in music for our concert in a couple of weeks, creating moving models in DT and even finding some time for play practice with Miss Groome. Oh, and not to forget the wonderful time we had at Lightwater Valley on Wednesday. A fun-filled week!
Year 4 have been looking at persuasive writing this week. We created our very own persuasive adverts and next week we will use our persuasive skills to write a letter. In Art we looked at the wonderful work of L. S. Lowry and had a go at copying his style of drawing.
Our first week back has been jam packed! We have started reading Kensuke's Kingdom in English and are already captivated by the story. It is about an 11 year old boy who goes on an around the world sailing trip with his parents. We have started looking at balanced arguments for whether this is a good idea or not and have come up with some interesting points. In maths we have been revising angles, some of us are now solving problems and looking for patterns for angles within different types of triangles. Also, congratulations to Molly, Aliya, Sadie, Megan, Tyler and Grace W who were picked to represent Rushcroft for the year 5 Orienteering team next Wednesday! Good luck for the competition!
