We learned about the various forms of sacrifice that went on in Aztec times. To help us visualise what it was like, we had a short drama activity as you can see below. No children were harmed during any of the sacrificing.
This week Year 4 have finished their aboriginal paints and they are fabulous! Well done to Melissa, whose painting is displayed in the Oldham Library. Tyler also deserves a congratulations as his Maths work is displayed in the Oldham Library too!
This week in year 5 we have been looking at different shapes and the nets that make them. We found lotd of real examples of 3D shapes around our classroom and made our own using construction kits. We have been learning all about Roald Dahl and have started reading his autobiography 'Boy', it's a great book and we are really enjoying it. We have found out what our star sign constellations look like and all made our own to project onto a wall at home. We have started planning the order of our topic lessons, we are planning to have a battle like the ancient Greeks, but first we need to decide what the research and how our project is going to unfold. Watch this space to find out more over the next few weeks.
