We had a great time completing our winter art work. We based our art around two of Vincent Van Gogh's paintings, 'Memories of The North' and 'The Starry Night'. We experimented with different lines and blending colours before carrying out our work. The children also found out some facts about the artist and created a fact sheet in the ICT Suite.
This week we finished our winter themed pictures and we are really impressed with how they turned out. All our hard work and practice using the different materials and exploring how to blend colours has really paid off. Look at the pictures below to see our wonderful artwork.
We had a lovely day with Mrs Wiswell, our class governor, on Monday. The theme was "Mexico" because this has been our topic since September. Children learnt Spanish numbers and colours, made pinatas and were also taught how to make healthy tortilla wraps. We had much fun later on bashing the life out of our pinatas and the classroom smelt of cucumbers all day! How nice! Thanks you to Mrs Wiswell for organising it all and Emma in the kitchen who put on a lovely Mexican themed lunch at dinner time.
