This week Year 3 have been continuing their work on Myths and Legends. We acted out scenes from the story and then wrote about what happened using verbs and adverbs. In maths we have been working on Place Value and this week we've been making things 10 times bigger! We measured our feet and then created a giants foot that was 10 times bigger than our own. The children continued their work on Magnets and carried out an investigation to measure the strength of different magnets.
What are black holes? Where do they come from? These are the kinds of questions Year 4 have decided to investigate for their Topic. If you have any information on this, please share it with us. In Maths we have learnt about multiplying and dividing by 10 and 100. We are looking forward to performing a song about it in assembly.
In year 5 this week we have been looking at reflective symmetry, we even made our own shapes with our bodies, for our partner group to reflect on a giant mat, pictures will be up soon! We finished writing our letters and are quite excited about moving on to short stories. In topic, we have started making our Chinese dragon for our dance in PE, it's going to look amazing!
Thanks to Mr Ireland for our excellent PE afternoon on Wednesday. Everyone did well and had a go and the team will be picked very soon. Well done to Ethan, Robert and Harrison for their Despicable Me club which has got everyone talking. It certainly helped to mix people up at Golden Time.
