Play practice has started! Well done to those individuals who spent last week’s break learning their lines. All week Year 4 have been dividing in Maths and Miss Mears is very impressed with our efforts.
In Year 3 we started practising for our play 'Aladdin Trouble'. It was great to see that the children have been learning their lines over the half term break and they're really getting into the songs. We decorated our magnets and started to design our own mythical weapon, we will be creating 3D versions in the next few weeks.
This week in year 5 we said a sad farewell to Joshua. Good luck in your new school Josh, you will be missed! We have been making predictions and testing theories about friction, using cars and ramps with differing surfaces. We have impressed Miss Groome with our knowledge of graphs and pie charts and have started planning our persuasive letters. We had a debate about whether children should have playtimes at school, with some interesting arguments being presented. Some photos are below.
The second half of year 5 have started their forest school sessions. This week we played get to know you games and went off on a winter treasure hunt. We learned safety tips for the forest and are building our teamwork skills. Check out our photo's below.
Good luck to everyone for tomorrow when secondary school places are announced. We have been working hard to learn our times tables rap and it's starting to take shape quite nicely thank you very much. A particular well done to Mathew and Courtney who have represented school at three different sports in five days. Impressive stuff!
