Year 4 have been measuring different lengths, widths and heights this week. We measured our height from head to toe and then we measured how tall we would be if we had been beheaded, like Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard. Also this week we started finding material to make our Tudor portraits. We had to think what type of material would be suitable for our Tudor monarch to wear in our Tudor portrait.
This week year 5 took advantage of the nice weather and went outside in search of plants. Using an 'Itentikit', we had to find out what each plant species was, draw it and find out some facts about it. It was a great experience as we have been learning all the complicated parts of a flower and we got to see them for real outside. We couldn't believe how different they looked on each plant - but we were still able to name them all!
It was great to see so many of you with your game face on last week. Let's hope you get the scores you deserve. Please remember to have your PE kits in at all times from now on as we have to try and fit lessons in when we can. Busy busy term coming up. A few pics below but someone forgot to bring the memory card home so the rest will have to wait...Sorry!
