Year 3 have been very busy recently, see the photos of our pumpkins for Halloween and the children making their snowmen Christmas cards, which you can buy. The display of the healthy eating plates the children made in Science reminds us about our topic “You are what you eat!” The children followed instructions in English to try to trap the Bonecrunching Giant, however we had to think of smaller animals that may get trapped and tidy up the traps. In DT we tasted different types of bread in preparation for our sandwich design, make and evaluate project. In Maths we have been working hard on the 3 and 4 times tables and started some 4 times tables raps- watch out Honey G! The Rushcroft spelling bee champion was Isabella in Year 3. Well done!
Well done to Molly and Ifsah who got so far in the Spelling Bee but just couldn't quite win it. We are very proud of you. This week in science we have learned about circuits and made some simple circuits including buzzers, motors and bulbs. In poetry we've learned how to write limericks and written some about ourselves; next week it's the teachers! Below are pictures of us at work in science.
