Year 6

Well done to everyone who has been working so hard in maths and English recently. There has been some amazing progress going on and it is obvious that some children are now starting to show us all what they are truly made of. For those of you interested in the new song we are learning with Miss Latus, In the Mood by Glenn Miller, here's a link to it... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPXwkWVEIIw

Year 5

In year 5 this week we have been learning about co-ordinates. Nearly all of us are now able to read co-ordinates in all 4 quadrants and we used our new skills to play battleships. In English, we have been writing animal stories. Our focus is to develop our descriptive writing skills, extending our sentences with interesting vocabulary and starting to think about using different sentence openers. In topic, we looked at the chinese 'Tangram' puzzles. As it is soon to be the year of the sheep, we had a go at trying to make the shape, some of us managed and even tried different shapes. Check out our photos below.
