On Tuesday, Mrs Wiswell came in and we had a brilliant Mexico themed day. Different groups did lots of fun activities: making tortillas, making pinatas, playing the Aztec Ball Game and learning some everyday Spanish. You can see from the pictures below how much we enjoyed ourselves and we are really grateful to Mrs Wiswell for organising it all.
This week Year 4 have written wonderful Remembrance Day poem, which are now on display in school. We have also worked really hard on improving our hockey skills ready for a tournament next week.
In year 5 this week we have been learning all about percentages and how they link to fractions. Some of us are even able to convert percentages to fractions. We have started reading Roald Dahl's BFG and have giggled at Miss Groome's giant impressions. Our Science topic this term is solids liquids and gases and we have started by grouping everyday objects by looking at their properties. We have all made a design for our Christmas lanterns, which we will be parading at the Christmas light switch on, on November 29th.
