In year 3 this week we have started looking at information texts and have been writing about how flowering plants grow. We learned how bees are important for pollination and making new seeds and have even planted our own mustard seeds in class. We are investigating what plants need for growth and our experiment is testing different variables so we can observe them over the next couple of weeks to see what happens. In maths we have been looking at fractions and even though we are finding it tricky, we are really persevering and trying our best. Mrs Spence is very impressed!
We also had the amazing opportunity to play with the Halle Orchestra this week at the Bridgewater Hall. It was an awesome experience and we all loved it. Check out our pictures below.
Year 4 began learning how to play golf this week and we had some excellent driving and putting by the end of the lesson. We have also been improving our lacrosse skills with Mr Ireland and it is great to see everybody getting involved and learning new skills. We are busy finishing our recounts about Martin Mere in class and did some fascinating research about the mills of Shaw and Crompton in History/Computing. Who knew there were so many?
