In year 3 this week we have continued to look at our persuasive letter from Joe Bloggs and have started to innovate his letter to create our own. In Maths we have worked hard on many word problems, pulling together all our skills we have learnt over the last few months. We have started our DT project with Mrs Jennings - we are creating a 3D map of the UK with all the important mountain ranges and rivers on it. It should look really good when we are finished. In Science we have been investigating magnetism further and learning about poles being attracted or repelling each other.
In Year 4 this week, we investigated volume by listening for the sounds of instruments at different distances from us. We tried it with ipads first but it was too windy to hear them. We've written a couple of interesting explanation texts to finish the topic and are looking forward to the Hamelin story next week. In maths, we've begun to look at multiplying by 0 and 1 and in reading we discussed what we mean by facts and opinions.
