This week in year 3 we have finished writing our myths, we presented our story in a tree with Chameleons hiding our writing. We have also completed our hot piece, which was about Finley the swimmer who challenged Hermes the messenger god. In Science we have been learning about the effects of the sun on our eyes and how we can keep ourselves safe and have looked at how to survive the Stone Age and designed our own tools. In Maths we have continued to learn how to tell the time and have been comparing different lengths of time. We also have a visit from Mrs Taylor this week who told us all about PANTS and the underwear rule. We had a brilliant time at Castleshaw (video will be online next week). Everybody represented our school really well and it is to be hoped that some of us have been inspired to want to get out a bit more and experience the lovely countryside on our doorsteps. Pictures of our boats are below.
Our persuasive letters are almost finished and well done to the class for showing a good understanding of fractions, including how to simplify them. Who knew it could be so much fun?
