In year 3 this week we are writing up our full innovated King Midas Stories, they are fantastic! We have also been looking at The Ugly Duckling and working on some comprehension questions based on the text. In Maths, we have been adding with renaming and are moving on to subtraction this week. In Art we have started to work with clay to make scarab beetles, which was very exciting as many of us haven't worked with it before. At swimming this week, Mrs Spence was really impressed as lots of us are trying new things every week and really improving. Well done us!
This week we learnt about condensation and how it's the opposite of evaporation. Never before has waiting for water vapour to turn back into water droplets been so exciting. In maths we have continued to work on rounding numbers up to the nearest 1000, 100 and 10. This made our heads hurt a lot. We enjoyed benchball in PE but seem to be over-reliant on needing drinks of water...Finally, well done to the Year 4 football team who enjoyed representing school at their Crompton House tournament. Although they didn't win, they represented school well and enjoyed themselves.
