In year 3 this week we have been continuing our playscripts and making sure we set them out correctly so that they are easy to follow. In maths we have been looking at measuring volume of water with different containers. We have been looking further at reading different scales and estimating the capacity of different containers. Swimming this week was fantastic, we have all improved so much. Some of us are now learning life saving skills, some are swimming to the bottom to retrieve weights and some of us are now putting our face in the water, which we really didn't like doing back in September. Mrs Spence is very proud of all of us and how far we have come. Also this week, we had our World Book Day after last week's snow day! The costumes were fantastic and we read The Enormous Crocodile, which was one of Mrs Spence's favourite books as a child. Check out our pictures below.
The children continue to work hard in maths, learning about dividing with remainders (2 and 3 digits) and quadrilaterals (see pictures below). A big well done to our World Book Day winners: Alfie (best dressed) and Macie (best blurb). The Bikeability instructors were really impressed with those children who took part and made a point of saying how polite and respectful they were. If you took part, you will get your certificates next week.
