Hunting for treasure with Year 1

The treasure hunt was first suggested by the children in Year 1 when two boys from the class dug up a rusty padlock and chain in the woods. They decided that the chain must have once been wrapped around a box of treasure. Soon we realised that the treasure had been hidden somewhere around school by local pirates. Treasure hunt instructions were found in class and the adventure began...

We were led around school as the adventurers read a series of clues that tested their knowledge of the Rushcroft woodland and its trees.

As you can see, we found the treasure and the mystery was solved. We still haven't seen the pirates though ...

As you can see we used the treasure to make a healthy fruit salad which went down a treat!
