What a wonderful morning the children had, when Carl the chocolaologist came to Rushcroft. We learned a lot about the process of growing cocoa trees , from which cocoa pods are harvested. These are then split open and the cocoa beans taken out to dry.
The children were really interested in the lesson and found out how much work goes in to this process.
Next came the practical part of the lesson where the children designed and made their little chocolate sweets. Take a look at the photographs of our super morning.
