As part of our topic about the weather in polar regions of the world we have been learning about the travels and adventures of Captain Robert Falcon Scott- Often known as "Scott of the Antarctic" We have read the diary of the famous explorer to find out about his discoveries. This week we have re-enacted the ill fated final journey of Robert Scott and his intrepid men. We have struggled through temperatures of -47 degrees only to reach the South Pole behind Roald Amundsen- imagine our bitter disappointment! How heartfelt were the words we wrote as we froze in our tents... "It seems a pity but I can't write any more. For God's sake look after our people"
